Circle support

Let’s get Circle working the way it should.

Start with the quick checks below. If something still looks wrong, send us a few safe details and a real person will help investigate.

The quickest checks for common problems

Location is not updating

  1. Open Circle and confirm location sharing is on.
  2. Open Devices and confirm the intended phone is the device shared with your circles.
  3. In Android settings, keep Precise location and background location allowed for Circle.
  4. Open your phone’s map app to confirm the device itself can obtain a current GPS fix.

History is missing or split

  1. Confirm the phone that made the trip was the shared device at that time.
  2. Keep Circle’s location permission and background tracking available throughout the trip.
  3. Allow a short time for recently uploaded points to become visits and drives.
  4. When reporting it, include the date, time zone, phone, and whether the route is missing, shortened, or split.

Sign-in or update trouble

  1. For closed testing, open Google Play with the same Google account that joined the Circle test.
  2. If Circle reports an update before Play offers it, check the Play listing again after Google finishes distributing it.
  3. Use Forgot password if your password is not accepted.
  4. If Circle signs you out again after signing in, report the time and whether the phone had recently restarted or updated.

Help us investigate

Send a useful report without sending private data.

A short, specific report is usually enough to connect what you saw with Circle’s operational records.

  • Your Circle app version
  • Phone manufacturer and model
  • Approximate date, time, and time zone
  • What you expected and what happened instead
  • Whether the problem repeats after reopening Circle
